This year’s lesson focuses on “Financing Quality Public Education.” In the United States, Global Action Week events will take place on Capitol Hill and in states across the nation. From Pennsylvania to California, from Colorado to Florida, thousands will participate in “Lesson for All” activities.
Without leaving your classroom, you can join millions around the world who are participating in Global Action Week from April 19 to 25, 2010.
How to Participate
To join the “Lesson for All,” download the 2010 Teacher Toolkit, which includes activities that highlight the need for universal basic education and show students how they can make a difference for the millions of children currently denied access to school. The activities are appropriate for math, science, language and visual arts, physical education, and social studies students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Teachers who would like to teach the “Lesson for All” at any point in the year, can sign a pledge and have their classrooms and schools counted.
