Building Bridges: Transitions from Secondary School

Wednesday, June 16
: AED and Advancing Girls’ Education (AGE) Africa will host a forum on innovative best practices, policies and research surrounding secondary school and post-secondary transitions for girls in developing countries. Opening remarks will be made by Her Excellency Hawa Olga Ndilowe, Ambassador of the Republic of Malawi to the United States of America. Panelists include Jacob Bregman, Secondary Education Consultant and Retired Lead Education Specialist at the World Bank; Michele Akpo, Project Director for the Ambassadors’ Girls’ Scholarship Program at AED; David W. Chapman, Birkmaier Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Minnesota; and Ariana Childs Graham, Coordinator of the Coalition for Adolescent Girls.
