Results Educational Fund (REF) trains citizens to speak out on Education for All and leverages these grassroots efforts for change at the highest levels. RESULTS strategy is to educate policymakers through the grassroots, education experts, and targeted media. One of our key goals is to create Congressional champions and advocates on Education for All, who will demand a scaling up of quality resources from the U.S. and will also push international financial institutions and other donors to increase their funding commitment. Supporting a domestic advocacy campaign can increase funding for basic education and create improved policies designed to get all children in school.
By donating to this project, here’s what you could support:
- $10: Send a box of brochures and reports anywhere in the country to a RESULTS group for an outreach event that could educate “future advocates” about poverty issues
- $25: Purchase a powerful video for one RESULTS chapter to use to educate their members of Congress and congressional aides during face-to-face meetings or community education and action events
- $50: Pay for a one month subscription to an on-line web conferencing service that can be used to train activists around the country in advocacy skills and leadership
- $75: Support one online letter writing request to over 1000 activists that will be used to tip a key Congressional decision or vote on a poverty-related issue
- $100: Bring 10-20 volunteer activists together on a training call to generate media that will educate thousands of citizens on global poverty
- $100: Provide 250 volunteer activists with the tools (monthly action sheet) to mobilize hundreds of citizens in letter writing to increase funding for AIDS, microcredit, and basic education.
- $200: Provide a scholarship for one volunteer activist to attend the RESULTS International Conference where they will receive training and meet face to face with members of Congress.
