Fund the publication of a local language children's book in any of the seven countries in which Room to Read operates (Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa or Vietnam). Approximately 10,000 copies of each title are printed and then distributed throughout Room to Read’s schools and libraries - for approximately US$1 per book.
Underwriters of our local language publishing program will receive copies of the book that they sponsored, which includes a dedication on the inside cover of the book.
By donating to this project, here’s what you will support:
- $12,000: The cost to publish and distribute approximately 10,000 books to schools and libraries in Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa or Vietnam.

Fundraising Idea: Since each book costs about US$1, have a fundraiser and for every dollar donated, the donor writes his or her name on a cut-out book. You can then place these cut-outs on a wall in your school or community to show your progress!
